Five-Star Added To List For ND-USC

Notre Dame has at least one big recruiting weekend each season, but it will be tough for others to top the star-studded cast that is headed to South Bend on Oct. 22 for the rivalry game against USC.

With five-star recruits like defensive end Arik Armstead, running back Keith Marshall, safety Shaq Thompson, and Irish defensive line commit Jarron Jones(unofficial visit), already in the group of prospects expected to be in town, yet another has been added - Georgia offensive tackle commit John Theus of Jacksonville, Fla.
In addition to that the 6-6, 295-pound The Bolles School player, whose brother, Nathan, is a freshman for the Bulldogs, will be on campus as an official visitor for the night game.
Mansell also noted that the Florida native doesn't have any other official visits scheduled at this time and had the following to say about what affect it would have on Georgia's class if he opted to go elsewhere.
"Catastrophe," Mansell, who specializes in Georgia-area recruiting, shared. "They have no offensive linemen coming back."
Other programs that have offered Theus include Alabama, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Texas and USC.
In the meantime, Notre Dame is set to host Theus during the big game knowing that he likely won't budge if the coaching staff at Georgia remains in tact, but he's the type of recruit that the coaches will stay on as long as he's listening.
